About the Role:
Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you'll have a pivotal role in engaging stakeholders and spearheading vital health and safety initiatives. We're looking for a proactive individual who's passionate about streamlining processes, leading teams, and bringing about meaningful improvements!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide active support in planning, executing, and monitoring Health and Safety (H&S) Strategic Initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and industry standards.
- Lead a team of advisors to support operations and coordinate the rollout of Coronado's initiatives across various units, ensuring consistency and alignment with objectives.
- Guide ICAM investigations, ensuring thoroughness and leading major probes when needed, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Monitor SHMS effectiveness through KPI evaluation, optimizing with stakeholders to enhance health and safety outcomes.
- Track regulatory reporting and site compliance, ensuring timely completion and conducting audits to uphold standards and mitigate risks.
- Maintain initiative alignment with organisational goals, fostering proactive risk mitigation and driving sustainable results.
About You:
- Operating experience in a lead Health and Safety role with exposure to the mining our resources industry.
- Understanding of current Safety legislation.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a team.
- Up to date knowledge of current standards, trends and development leading to improved safety.
- Tertiary qualifications relevant to the position.
- You will be comfortable building and maintaining strong partnerships to drive business results.
