About the role
As the Health & Safety Manager VIC/TAS you will :
- Lead a team of Health & Safety Business Partners, coaching and supporting them to create a high-performance culture;
- Leverage your experience to partner with senior leaders to execute the Health & Safety initiatives and priorities aligned to the HSE strategy and roadmap.
- Drive excellence in Health & Safety risk management, compliance to regulatory and company standards, and performance.
- Partner, coach and influence leaders on health and safety leadership, effectiveness, capability, and ways of working
- Develop and lead state-based safety improvement programs to drive efficiencies in processes and enable improvements in compliance and performance. join the team.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in OHS or a related discipline
- Strong operational Health & Safety experience in blue collar/high risk industry environments
- Demonstrated experience in leading a Health & Safety team to deliver meaningful outcomes in the field
- Be engaging and be able to present to, engage with and influence across all levels of an organisation in a compelling and pragmatic way.
- Functional knowledge of health and safety standards and legislation and industry best practices with a practical and pragmatic approach.
- The ability to work in a calm and considered way within fast paced, high pressure environment.
