THE OPPORTUNITY
Salary: $63,546 - $68,996 per annum pro rata + 11% super (depending on qualifications and experience).
Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT.
Location: Chadstone campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Position Status: Appointment to 31st December 2024
The Holmesglen IT Department is looking for a Helpdesk Technician to join their supportive team. Day-to-day duties will include answering the helpline and troubleshooting issues over the phone, helping staff and students troubleshoot face-to face via the helpdesk counter and/or around the campus, be involved with IT projects such as hardware rollouts and computer lab upgrades.
The department follows a distinct rhythm: it intensifies its operations at the beginning of each semester, bustling with energy and productivity, as the semester progresses attention shifts towards ongoing IT projects.
ABOUT YOU
- Relevant Degree with relevant work experience; or a suitable combination of lesser qualifications and significant relevant experience.
- ITIL Foundation Certificate, ZENworks, MCSE, MCSA, ACSP (preferred)
- Understanding of Microsoft desktop & Mac OS and iOS software
- Demonstrated experience in Level 1 Service Desk support role will be highly regarded
- Sound customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Problem solving skills within the context of resolving customer issues.
- Ability to prioritise and manage tasks.
- Able to support end-point computer systems and applications remotely.
