We are looking for a candidate who is driven, hungry for growth, eager to learn, and committed to making a positive impact that will fill the role of the Holiday Park Lead for the Etty Bay Caravan Park who will eventually progress to be the next Regional Manager. Training and knowledge to become that leader will be provided.
The Role
The Holiday Park Lead will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the front office, general store and the kitchen ensuring company standards are maintained. You are required to live on site-all inclusive accommodation and utilities are provided for, as part of your total remuneration package.
The Park also plays a pivotal role in the tourism of the Cassowary Coast Region, hence the ideal Park Lead will be able to identify potential drivers that would further deliver benefits to the tourism of the area and will work closely with the Regional Manager and the Operations team.
Key Responsibilities
The list below provides a snapshot of the role:
- Holiday Park Management: Monitor communication for the Holiday Park operations, provide guidance and advice to teams for booking management, complaints and incidents, oversee the cleaning and maintenance of facilities and grounds, cash handling and banking duties
- Inventory Management: Conduct stock takes and consumables management
- Resource Management: Handling team rosters, timesheet approvals, recruitment and training, and performance management
- Data & Reporting: Generate reports, analyse root cause of issues or concerns and facilitate continuous improvement
- Caretaking: Provide after hours assistance when required, conducting night park walk checks.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will undergo a mentoring/training program that will provide you with the tools required to execute the role. However the ideal candidate must possess the following essential skills and experience:
- Strong computer skills and experience in working with cloud-based platforms
- Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality, Tourism or Business management is highly desirable
- Be able to work efficiently and effectively, understanding constraints such as allocated budgets and maintaining company standards
- Comfort with ambiguity, willingness to adapt and follow the system
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
