Where you'll be working
As HITH covers the entire Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), you may be required to travel throughout NSLHD depending on service need. We have bases at Mona Vale and Royal North Shore and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.
What you'll be doing
The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care .
Providing acute-level care to patients in the community to prevent hospital admissions, reduce ED presentations and facilitate early discharges from hospitals. As a HITH RN you will be required to assess patients referred to HITH and facilitate transfer to our service., you will also be required to provide clinical care to patient within both our clinic setting and our patient’s homes. Working within a multi-disciplinary team to provide the highest standard of care, we are truly person-centred.

- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Registered Nurse –Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and relevant nursing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers and a diverse range of health and non-health care providers.
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on service delivery, patient safety, quality of care and team cohesion.
- Sound experience using electronic medical record systems and office applications, and evidence of personal time management capabilities and effective negotiation skills.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
