About the role:
Victoria Police is currently advertising One (1) full time, ongoing VPS-2 Intelligence Support Officer position within Southern Metro Region, Division Two. The primary function of the Intelligence Support Officer is to provide administrative and Intelligence support to various work units within the Division through the interrogation of data, collation of monthly reports and assisting members by reducing their administration tasks. Initial training for this role will be at Moorabbin Police Complex.

Your duties will include:

* Various Administrative and Intelligence Support tasks.
* Computer based tasks including report writing, data entry and spread sheets on various Victoria Police IT platforms and Microsoft Office 365.
* Collecting, collating, analysis and evaluation of information and intelligence data and trends.
* Maintenance of databases responsible for the recording, collation, and dissemination of intelligence reports.
* Filing, record maintenance, archival storage, and retrieval.

* Excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate using a variety of communication channels and platforms at all levels.
* Be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment to build productive working relationships.
* A commitment to high service delivery standards.
* Strong computer skills.
* Ability to time manage workloads, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
* Ability to show initiative and proactive work practices.
* Experience in performing a range of administrative support duties and be adaptable to change.
* Good attention to detail and research skills, with the ability to value add and analyse information.
* Demonstrate integrity particularly in relation to handling of confidential material.

Requirements and relevant information:

* One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
* This position is located at Moorabbin Police Complex, 1011-1013 Nepean Highway, Moorabbin, 3189.
* Please be advised that after the completion of training the successful applicant may be required to work at any of the following locations within Southern Metro Region, Division Two, Moorabbin Police Complex, Chelsea Police Complex, Mordialloc Police Complex, Cheltenham Police Complex, Bayside Police Complex and Caulfield Police Complex.
* The incumbent will be required to complete the OHS requirements of the organisation.
* Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
* The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
