Qualifications & experience
- Minimum Certificate IV in Disability Services or related discipline.
- Minimum six (6) months experience working for a disability service.
- Assist with Medication certification.
- Manual Handling certification.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Manage day to day operations within the home.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment and promoting team work.
- Develop positive working relationships with clients, their family and friends and other external stakeholders. Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure better outcomes for clients.
- Promote choice and control and champion NDIS principles for clients.
- Ensure compliance with Fairhaven policies and procedures, NDIS Quality and Safeguard Framework, NDIS and related legislation.
- Ability to mentor new staff and provide feedback in a supportive manner.
- Ensure all activities and supports comply with workplace health and safety guidelines.
- Ensure all documentation meets record keeping requirements for auditing and legislative purposes.
- Ensure reports are completed appropriately with regard to incidents, complaints or feedback.
- Other reasonable duties as directed to ensure efficient operations within the house.
