House Manager

Qualifications & experience

• Minimum Certificate IV in Disability Services or related discipline.
• Minimum six (6) months experience working for a disability service.
• Assist with Medication certification.
• Manual Handling certification.
• Current First Aid Certificate.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Manage day to day operations within the home.
• Create and maintain a positive work environment and promoting team work.
• Develop positive working relationships with clients, their family and friends and other external stakeholders. Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure better outcomes for clients.
• Promote choice and control and champion NDIS principles for clients.
• Ensure compliance with Fairhaven policies and procedures, NDIS Quality and Safeguard Framework, NDIS and related legislation.
• Ability to mentor new staff and provide feedback in a supportive manner.
• Ensure all activities and supports comply with workplace health and safety guidelines.
• Ensure all documentation meets record keeping requirements for auditing and legislative purposes.
• Ensure reports are completed appropriately with regard to incidents, complaints or feedback.
• Other reasonable duties as directed to ensure efficient operations within the house.
