About the role
We have an opportunity for a Housing Support Worker to join our Youth and Homelessness team on a permanent part time basis 60.8 hours a fortnight.
This role will maintain a caseload of clients, provide one to one tenancy and holistic support to individuals, participate in referral intake process and develop and monitor case plans. You’ll also provide practical tenancy support including life skills, advocacy and parenting skills to our clients.
About you
You’ll have experience working with complex young people and their families and have a passion to be a part of making a positive impact on someone’s life.
- Diploma or tertiary qualification in relevant Human Services field is required
- Solid understanding of evidence-based service models
- Experience in parental and child development
- Prior experience working in a residential setting is preferred
- Knowledge of issues presented by homeless people between 16-25
- Prior experience in case work within the community sector
- Ability to be innovative and flexible, with excellent communication skills
- Working with Children Check
- Drivers Licence
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
