The objective of this Human Resources Business Partner role is to facilitate a positive and inclusive workplace environment by collaborating with leadership to ensure employee safety and inclusivity. We are looking for someone who can enhance workplace culture by integrating modern people-focused strategies and initiatives to boost organisational effectiveness
This role encompasses, but is not restricted to, the following responsibilities:
People Partnership:
- Collaborate with leadership for strategic support and ensure a safe, inclusive employee experience.
- Guide leaders in implementing best practices, fostering positive culture, and driving continuous improvement.
- Support leaders in decision-making and leadership development.
Employee Relations:
- Actively support leaders and their employees in resolving employee relations concerns, grievances and performance
management issues, and complete workplace investigations. - Case Management of workplace investigations into misconduct matters, underperformance, fitness for work and grievances/complaints.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industrial instruments, including Enterprise Agreements, relevant Awards and provide interpretations taking all relevant information into account.
- Manage, participate in and deliver against required outcomes for any ER projects.
- Actively support leaders and their employees in resolving employee relations concerns, grievances and performance
Learning and Organisational Development:
- Identify capability gaps and design training programs, ensuring compliance.
- Proactively improve learning systems and processes.
Change Management:
- Analyse workforce needs and support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Lead change projects and support strategic workforce initiatives.
Employee Engagement and Retention:
- Collaborate to improve engagement scores and reduce turnover.
- Implement recognition and reward programs.
Stakeholder Relationship Management:
- Prioritise customer outcomes and foster an inclusive culture.
- Build effective relationships with portfolio leaders.
Work Health and Safety (WH&S):
- Adhere to safety standards and contribute to safety initiatives and incident reporting.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business/Human Resources/Psychology or equivalent relevant experience.
- Project and/or change management certification highly regarded.
- Previous experience as an HR practitioner in a Business Partnership role, with demonstrated ability to engage
stakeholders of all levels. - Experience in the resolution of complex people issues, with a working knowledge of Australian employment law and the ability to apply it practically to workplace situations.
- Possess strong research, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate robust business acumen, proficient business writing skills, and a dedication to service and performance excellence.
- Capable of thriving in high-pressure environments and adeptly managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities proactively.
