As a HR Coordinator, you will report to the Global Director, Human Resources, and be a trusted advisor to employees who provides HR guidance and support on HR related processes and policies connected to the Employee Life Cycle. You will need to be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who understands that in the world of HR ‘no job is too big or too small’. In this role, you must be collaborative, engaging and feel at-home in a fast-paced environment, with a great culture, and amazing people.

Accountabilities

  • Provide timely, fulsome, and accurate advice and support to HR inquiries related to all aspects of the employee life cycle (recruitment administration, onboarding, employee transitions, employment agreement administration, employment verification letters, leaves, departures)
  • Provide an exceptional employee experience by delivering welcoming new hire packages, orientations and accurately preparing all employee related documentation in a professional and consistent manner
  • Conduct exit interviews, gather relevant insights, provide themes and potential recommendations
  • Assist in the development, upskilling requirements and delivery of training and help gain subsequent feedback
  • Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures as well as guidelines and processes where they don’t exist or need to be formalized
  • Continually monitor internal feedback from employees and managers to identify gaps, friction points, and inconsistencies impacting employee experience
  • Interpret policies and best practices, while providing human-centered solutions.
  • Accurately maintain all employee data using the current HRIS (Sage)
  • Partner closely with HR colleagues and business partners to proactively contributes to team’s overall mandate
  • Take the initiative to identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Coordinator for health and safety, coordinating tasks related to this for the business

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years of generalist HR knowledge on policies and processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or related
  • Strong relationship management, effective listening, communication skills and interpersonal skills across all levels with commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple initiatives and deadlines while meeting service level agreements
  • Adaptable and ability to work in a new and changing environment and learn quickly
  • Knowledge of employee data administration and end-to-end processes; experience with transaction processing and data management
  • Knowledge of HR/Learning system, and ability to leverage basic technology functionality (e.g., case management, knowledge management). Working knowledge of Workday and SharePoint an asset
