We are currently seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join the HR team based at our head office in St Leonards. This is a 12-month contract.
Reporting to our HR Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for all HR queries for our St Leonards office. You will partner closely with the business to manage all the processes involved in the employee lifecycle and provide support and guidance on HR matters.
Responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating all employment lifecycle actions (from employment, onboarding, engagement, development right up to the farewell)
- Understanding and interpreting HR policies, procedures and industrial instruments, and providing first line advice to people leaders and employees
- Supporting the recruitment, interview and selection process for your assigned portfolio
- Supporting all HR initiatives and cycles (such as wellness, performance reviews, employee surveys etc)
- Working on projects around HR initiatives or efficiency and system improvements
- Supporting performance management
About You:
We are seeking an HR professional motivated to contribute to a values lead culture and possessing the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders. In addition:
- Hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related degree, with a minimum 3 years' experience as a Human Resources Generalist
- Thorough working knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practice
- Ability to coach and support managers on recruitment selection (e.g. writing behavioural interviews and assessment criteria, conducting interviews) and performance management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
