Job description

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS            

HR: 

  • Provide advice as a strategic Business Partner to business managers to develop and implement HR initiatives that drive HR excellence
  • Drive HR process improvement, simplification, and a culture of performance, inclusiveness and engagement
  • Provide advice and coaching to managers on the disciplinary process
  • Facilitate disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Manage termination and offboarding process.
  • Develop and update company policies and procedures;
  • Prepare and manage annual P&C budget
  • Undertake organization design & operational restructures to maximize efficiency 
  • Manage bi-annual employee engagement survey and develop action plan based on outcomes
  • Develop recruitment channels that attract high-performance and diverse candidates
  • Manage end to end recruitment process and prepare onboarding plans
  • Facilitate company induction process
  • Perform annual talent review and assist managers with succession mapping
  • Provide advice and coaching to employees and their managers on professional development
  • Develop tailored development plans based on employee and business needs
  • Coordinate annual compliance and third party training
  • Provide advice and coaching to managers and facilitate the performance management process.
  • Coordinate mid-year and end of year performance review process.
  • Assist in other HR programs deployment & internal communications and provide timely feedback to employee’s concern in HR issues

Safety:

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
  • Develop SOP’s, JSA’s and other safety documents as required
  • Manage dangerous goods regulatory compliance 
  • Undertake risk assessments 
  • Investigate safety incidents and implement effective controls
  • Coordinate WC claims and RTW process
  • Manage H&S database
  • Lead safety committee and coordinate meetings
  • Coordinate annual isocyanate health monitoring program
  • Audit PPE and equipment provisions for technical staff
  • Manage plant and equipment maintenance program for all sites
  • Maintain database of licenses and certifications
  • Develop reports and deliver insights for business improvement opportunities
  • Assist management team with efficient scheduling of monthly meetings
  • Provide ADHOC admin support to the management team as required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor or above with over 3 years of relevant experience in HR function in MNC
  • Be familiar with Australia and New Zealand Labor Law
  • Formal qualifications in Business, Human Resources or Occupations Health and Safety.
  • Strong working knowledge of Federal Industrial Relations Frameworks.
  • Advanced ability to interpret and advise on Industrial Relations Legislation and Modern Awards.
  • Advanced knowledge of Australian Safe Work Regulations.
  • Experience working in dangerous goods compliance.

  • High level of integrity, discretion and excellent judgement skills when handling sensitive situations.
  • Motivated self-starter who works well autonomously and in a collaborative team environment.
