We are looking for a highly motivated HSE Advisor to join our NSW Operations Team, playing a crucial role in providing HSE support across multiple sites in the Hunter Valley Region.
This HSE Advisor position is a permanent local role based out the Mt Thorley Office.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to.
Provide HSE advice and support to Projects and or Sites to resolve HSE issues and to improve HSE processes and performance.
Coordinate implementation of the HSE Management System, maintain HSE registers, and prepare HSE information and dissemination to others.
Monitor work practices to ensure adherence to safety and environmental procedures and standards.
Ensure all HSE processes and activities; JHA’s, permits etc. comply with relevant HSE legislation and company standards.
Facilitate meetings, trainings sessions; site inductions, toolbox topics and/or group discussions regarding HSE.
Establish effective relationships with Project/Business Unit HSE and Management.

What you will bring
Experience within NSW resourcing sector high desirable but not essential.
Certificate IV qualification in OHS and / or Environmental or related area is essential.
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or similar is preferred.
Strong understanding and working knowledge of Australian HSE legislation, mining legislation and industry standards combined with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Confident user of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
An innovative approach to problem solving, continuous improvement and successful delivery methods.
Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver a message effectively.
A proactive, motivated mindset and someone who thrives when working under pressure.
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
Proof of right to work in Australia.
