We are on the lookout for a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Coordinator as we continue to grow the safety culture and focus within the business. The Health and Safety Coordinator assists with promoting the safety and wellbeing of all staff and related parties across our business. This includes onsite, displays, office and to and from each location.
About the RoleThe Health and Safety Coordinator will support the HSE Manager in ensuring that Henley's HSE Policies and procedures are developed, effectively implemented, adhered to and comply with the Federal Work Health and Safety Act, Regulations and related legislation. You are also involved in ensuring onsite safety compliance from start to finish across our home building projects and including the onboarding of new contractors and suppliers to our contractor management system.

What you can expect to be doing on a day-to-day basis:Support the delivery and implementation of the HSE management plan in all areas of the business to ensure compliance. Work Method Statements and other compliance documents to meet requirements. Regularly monitor and report on site risks and hazards and address non-conformance's
Respond to HSE incidents and assist with investigating the root cause.Ensure appropriate reporting and recording processes are adhered to.Communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve safe places and systems of work for all employees and subcontractors

Keep up-to-date on legislative changes and industry-safe work practices
Assist the HSE Manager Fire Safety and First Aid requirements. Conduct HSE training as required to build competency and awareness. Desired Skills and ExperienceCertificate IV OHS or higher3/5 years’ experience in a HSE role.Experience in the residential construction industry desirable
Working knowledge of State WHS legislation regarding Health, Safety and EnvironmentAbility to understand and apply policy and procedures that meet legislative requirements regarding Health, Safety and EnvironmentStrong influencing skills and an ability to develop internal networks and trust with on-site teams.Excellent communication skills are essential.Proficient in Microsoft office
