What we need you for! To bring your proven ability to drive and monitor daily safety activities to this very dynamic role and successfully create, implement and manage HSEQ processes and policies across the group through an action-oriented approach, simultaneously building HSEQ capability and safety leadership of our managers and employees. To be innovative, make this role your own working closely with the whole business at the coal face, all the time supported by the Group HSEQ Manager and Managing Director as you alternate from operations to strategy with your hands-on approach.

This role is primarily based on-site at Yarrabilba, with some frequent travel to our other sites required.
Some of your duties will include:
- driving continuous improvement and risk mitigation strategies of HSEQ
- conducting safety & risk assessments, incident investigations & audits
- conduct training and awareness sessions with the crews
- contribute to best practice approach including development & delivery of Toolbox Talks
- conducting Safety Inductions with staff & sub-contractors
- influencing & driving safe behaviours & performance
- building HSEQ capability & safety leadership of employees
- ensure all site activities undertaken comply with HSEQ legislation
- building & maintaining positive internal & external working relationships
- collation of HSEQ data & preparation of quality performance reports
What you need to have:
- 5+ years’ experience in HSEQ Advisor role (highly desirable)
- Cert IV or higher in WHS
- White Card/Construction General Induction Card
- First Aid Qualifications or willingness to acquire
- current valid driver licence
- good skills technology, computers & safety systems
- previous experience in construction industry very highly regarded
- ability to work autonomously & be self-motivated
- excellent interpersonal skills
- good written & verbal communication skills
