Are you a passionate and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in Health and Safety? We are looking for a motivated HSEQ individual to join our team at The Avada Group looking to hire someone on an onsite full-time based at our Smithfield office.
Reporting to the Group HSEQ Manager and working with a collaborative team environment, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to take responsibility for:
- Leading the Health & Safety to ensure standards, compliance programs and risk assessments are conducted in accordance with HSE policies and standards.
- Supporting the development of policies, programs and initiatives for continuous improvement around health and safety risk management, visible safety leadership and Home Safe activities.
- Ensuring compliance to the internal inspection and audit schedules and support all external audits including regulatory compliance audits, certification audits, customer audits and HS Management Standard audits.
- Leading safety awareness and compliance activities including communication in relevant forums (i.e. Toolbox talks, WHSE Meetings, NSEC, HSE Noticeboards)
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting through the safety system, provide analysis and trends and enterprise initiatives to address these issues.
You are a perfect fit if you have.
- Qualifications in occupational health and safety, or other relevant disciplines
- Certification to deliver and assess training in accordance with Australian standard Certificate IV in Training Assessment is desirable.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in HSE Management role is preferred
- Proven experience in leading incident, investigation, and route cause analysis is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
