About the role
The Human Resource Administration Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of HR processes and administration across Green Island. This dual-purpose role is to provide support and coordinate various administrative tasks for Green Islands Management Team and is essential in streamlining workflows to improve operational efficiency.
The position will commute daily from Cairns Pier (free of charge) to the island with a requirement to remain on the island one (1) night per week to participate in the Island’s On-Call Team duties.
Reporting to Green Island’s General Manager and Quicksilver’s Human Resource Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate all recruitment activities and administrative related tasks for the onboarding and offboarding of employees
- Assist with return-to-work coordination, lodging workers compensation claims and undertaking administrative tasks related to the rehabilitation of injured workers
- Provide support to Managers on people management matters including but not limited to performance and misconduct
- Provide high level administrative support and assist with general office operations
- Participate as part of Green Island’s On-Call Team. A rotating roster (which may include weekend work) in which you will act as the first point of contact to resolve customer enquiries and/or respond to emergencies
