Job Summary

Based in Perth, we are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual to provide HR support across the business.
The successful candidate will have touchpoints across all parts of the business and work closely with operational Managers and the workforce to improve organisational performance. Reporting to the Managing Director, the HR Advisor will provide HR generalist support and advice on people matters, performance management, recruitment, training and HR policies and procedures.
We are looking for an individual who is confident and flexible in their approach, can influence work teams to achieve positive cultural change through facilitation of best practice HR principles. This role is ideal for an individual who is excited by diversity in their day-to-day and is looking for an opportunity to grow their career in the HR space.
Key responsibilities include:
- Respond to queries in a timely manner and provide advice and coaching to the organisation on operational HR matters including but not limited to, performance management and development, coaching and mentoring, terms and condition queries, industrial relations, and employee relations.
- Implementing agreed HR changes and initiatives.
- Supporting Management to carry our recruitment, onboarding and induction processes, and insights into attraction and retention strategies.
- Improve the capability of the leaders by supporting activities in the business in relation to performance management and career development.
- Communicate easily with every level of the organisation and adapt communication style to the audience.
- Support the development of training requirements and programs.
- Develop, implement and review policies, procedures and guidelines to support the business.
- Mobilization: organising medicals, inductions, ongoing site access, flights and Accommodation
- Payroll: processing of weekly payroll, maintain employee records, handle enquires, month-end reports, payroll year-end reconciliation, adhoc and periodic reports.
The successful candidate will have;
- Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Coordinator, ideally with prior experience working within a construction/mining/industrial environment.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage, partner, build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced working environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Human Resource concepts and practices and how these are applied in the workplace.
- Understanding of current national and local legislation.
- IT/Computer proficiency
Flexibility in work hours, and some regional travel is required.
