Human Resource Officer

MPI are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Officer or an experienced Human Resources Administrator who is looking to gain experience working for a global gold producer with multiple mine sites across the southern hemisphere.
The role
Offered as a 6-month contract you will be based on site. Utilising your prior knowledge and expertise you will quickly establish yourself as a key member of the HR team working closely with business and operational leads to support across a broad range of People and Engagement tasks.
Key responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to any enquiries in the people and engagement site inbox.
• Raise job requisitions for all departments.
• Monthly org chart reviews and reconciliation.
• Attend weekly meetings with supervisors to respond to queries.
• Attend EOM meetings with the business partners and assist with note taking when required.
• Put together reclassification requests and other requests as needed.
• Organise OA and internal movements.
• Help with initiatives such as RUOK day and other things coming up socially.
• Assist with site visit coordination, new starter PE inductions and new employee check ins.
• Accompanying site departures (terminations)
• Collaboration and conduit with key stakeholders relating to our low represented work groups.
• Be ambassadors of the company values - Safety, Excellence, Accountability and Respect.
• Ad-hoc administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline.
• Applicants should have experience in a similar role or be interested in moving up from admin to an officer level.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ability to work autonomously while building collaborative relationships and a team-focused approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Current Drivers Licence.
• Prior experience working in a mining or resources fly-in fly-out site environment is highly regarded.
