Position: EL1 HR Advsior
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Policy Lead to join our federal government client. As the HR Policy Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the People and Culture (P&C) policy framework for the organization.
Key Responsibilities: * Lead Design and Development: Take charge of designing and developing a comprehensive P&C policy framework that aligns with the organization's goals and values.
- Legal Compliance: Develop People policies that strictly adhere to both Commonwealth and State Legislation, ensuring the organization's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Alignment with APS Employment Principles and Values: Ensure that all HR policies align seamlessly with the Australian Public Service (APS) Employment principles and values, fostering a workplace culture that reflects these principles.
- Contemporary Approach: Drive the development of HR policies that embrace a contemporary approach to Human Resource Programs, reflecting industry best practices and innovation.
- Collaboration with Legal Section: Work closely with the Commission's Legal Section to guarantee that the organization's approach to policy development is legally sound, reflecting the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
- Consultation Framework: Design and implement an effective consultation framework that operationalizes policy development and review, involving key stakeholders to gather insights and feedback.
- Enterprise Agreement Alignment: Ensure that HR policies are in alignment with the Commission's Enterprise Agreement, promoting consistency and fairness in employment practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and developing HR policies in a complex organizational setting.
- Strong understanding of Commonwealth and State Legislation related to HR practices.
- Familiarity with APS Employment principles and values.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in working with legal teams to ensure policy compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to implement effective consultation frameworks.
