Western Australian Specialty Alloys (WASA) is an international market leader in the production of superalloys for forging and ring rolling applications for a range of aerospace, power generation and oil & gas applications. We are a fully owned subsidiary of Precision Castparts Corporation (PCC) a US manufacturing company based in Portland, Oregon.

Our Albury facility, Overall Forge, is our Australian based open die forge company that has been manufacturing locally in Australia for over 100 years and has become a major supplier of forgings to industries throughout the Asia Pacific region as part of WASA & PCC

Role Overview:

As a Human Resources Business Partner at Overall Forge Australia, you will report directly to the HR Manager, located in Perth WA. 

You will be a trusted advisor and strategic partner to our management team and employees within our Albury facility. You will play a key role in driving HR initiatives, fostering employee engagement, and implementing HR best practices to support the company's goals and objectives. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for cultivating a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

As an effective HR Business Partner your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following;

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring effective talent acquisition, performance management, and employee development.
  • Collaborate with HR team in Perth to design and deliver comprehensive HR programs and initiatives, 
  • Foster employee engagement and enhancing the employee experience.
  • Conduct workforce planning and talent management activities, identifying skill gaps, and developing succession plans to support organizational growth.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on HR policies, Labor laws, and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Act as a change agent, driving organizational change, and effectively managing change initiatives to optimize employee productivity and acceptance.
  • Analyse HR data and metrics to generate insights, providing data-driven recommendations to improve HR processes and support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and participate in employee relations activities, including conflict resolution and mediation, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Work closely with the HR team to support employee training and development initiatives, promoting continuous learning and skill enhancement.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications, and attributes: 

  • Certificate or diploma level qualification in Human Resources 
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, demonstrating successful HR strategy 
  • development and implementation.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of HR best practices, talent management, employee engagement, and labour laws.
  • Prior experience in interpreting legislation and industrial Award
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to demonstrate the ability to lead and drive change, influence decision-makers, and facilitate organizational development.
  • Experience supporting all HR lifecycle events.
  • Experience using psychometric tools
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
