The role of a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is pivotal in bridging the gap between HR and business strategy, particularly in dynamic and diverse regions such as Asia Pacific. As a HRBP at DLL you will work closely with the Head of HR, Asia Pacific and management teams across various countries, ensuring that the HR strategy is not only aligned with but also integral to the business objectives. The HRBP will be instrumental in providing expert HR guidance and support, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strategic alignment. This hands-on role promises comprehensive exposure to all aspects of HR, offering a chance to make a significant impact within a small team environment. The HRBP will be at the forefront of implementing innovative HR practices and contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization. Day to day- Contribute to the business strategy by helping leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviours, structures, and processes.
- Support leaders in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function or business strategy.
- Implement appropriate employee training and manage its delivery.
- Support the end-to-end recruitment and on-boarding processes alongside Talent Acquisition
- Facilitate long-term HR initiatives aligned with the strategic agenda – e.g., Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Well-being, etc.
- Assist leaders in providing employees with development opportunities that align with current and future performance standards.
- Provide expert advice and coaching to managers and individual employees when appropriate.
- Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve HR policies and initiatives – e.g. Compensation and Benefits
- Identify and drive the sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Identify new opportunities for HR to add value to the business.
- Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR operational plan and contribute to functional and cross-functional initiatives.
- Support and monitor the annual Performance Management process
- Coach, counsel, and guide managers before the execution of employee disciplinary actions
- Substantial business acumen
- Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between talent and other HR initiatives and business strategy
- Ability to develop clear, actionable steps in support of an overall business strategy
- Effective team player and networker
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Significant knowledge of HR policies, processes, e.g., talent acquisition, workforce planning, talent management, learning & development etc.
- Demonstrates integrity in all business interactions
- Ability to provide both verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasively, as well as ability to influence others
- Experience in the administration of payroll, benefits and compensation programs as well as other HR programs
- General knowledge of employment laws and practices
- Experience with Microsoft Office; skill in database management and record keeping
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field
- Desirable: experience/strong interest in Learning & Development
- Two working days per year volunteering for a local charity.
