About the Role
Team Global Express (TGE) are seeking the support of a high calibre Human Resources Business Partner to join our Operations People team.
Reporting to the People Leader, you will have the opportunity to work in partnership with the business to develop, implement and integrate People solutions that are aligned to business and Group People strategy and objectives.
You will be responsible for translating the strategic initiatives of the functional People streams into actionable people initiatives that drive employee engagement, reinforce Company culture and business performance.
What you'll do:
- Support and coach leaders: Provide advice and solutions for managing people initiatives and promote a positive culture.
- Develop capability: Enhance the people management capability and effectiveness of leaders to reinforce culture through an engaged workforce
- Manage complex people matters: Provide credible, contemporary, customer focused and pragmatic advice
- Interpret legislation: Advise on employment contracts and industrial instruments to leadership, employees and payroll.
- Analyse data: Provide insights to leaders to support strategic people decisions and objectives.

- Tertiary qualifications in HR or relevant field
- Extensive experience in generalist and operational HR/IR experience in an industrial environment
- Strong Consulting skills aimed at determining the client's need, perceived roadblocks, business unit culture, and work environment issues.
- Capacity to understand people issues impacting the business and how the business can create employee engagement profit and value.
- Strong working knowledge of key functional People function streams such learning & development, training, performance management, remuneration & benefits, employee relations, coaching and counselling, and policy development and administration).
- Familiarity with federal and state employment laws.
- Change management and project management skills and ability to managing multiple competing priorities and/or projects
- Demonstrated Human Resources experience at a senior advisory/HRBP level within similar industry
- Ability to adapt and manage change and to identify continuous improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated sound decision-making capability weighing up multiple competing internal and external factors to ensure organisation risk is minimised and regulatory compliance achieved
