Human Resources Business Partner

Baxters Foods are a family-owned iconic food business established in 1868 producing a range of products around the world. Here in Australia, Baxters manufacture a premium range of food products including cookie dough at the Campbellfield site.  

Reporting the Managing Director Australia, this Generalist HR role is required onsite Monday – Friday and offers part time family friendly hours. The size of our business will allow you to drive the HR function across all levels of the business; this means you can hit the ground running on the frontline in a hands-on capacity, as well as contributing to the senior leadership team to shape, drive and grow the business. 

The Human Resources BP will be responsible for a range of Generalist HRM activities such as effective communications, employee engagement and culture, recruitment & talent management, policy and processes, employment relations and compliance, and overseeing training and development. This exciting opportunity also gives you access to connect with stakeholders from the global Baxters HR team as well as contribute to global initiatives!

Key deliverables include: 

• Driving contemporary leadership and systems to engage all staff in their responsibilities & teamwork. 
• Coaching and supporting managers with expert advice and operational support to achieve objectives, drive an embed operational standards for people & performance. 
• Lead strategic and operational HR business projects to ensure a ready, agile and capable workforce. 
• Drive strategies to continuously strengthen workplace communication, culture & diversity, engagement, recognition, celebrations and values. 
• Support performance management and IR processes including consultation, change management, support EBA negotiations and workplace compliance with availability to access assistance from external professional support where necessary.  

We’re seeking a well organised HR professional who can demonstrate their authentic can-do style by delivering on actions and build trusted relationships as a credible advisor. Importantly, you will have a positive visible presence on site. 

You will require: 

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent, AHRI membership is favourable as is experience in a similar industry.
• Demonstrated experience in a Generalist HR Leadership or Business Partner role. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to confidently communicate and build relationships across a multi-cultural and multilingual workforce.  
• Demonstrated grit and resilience as well as the emotional intelligence to manage relationships, your own wellbeing, and be a professional role model for others.
• Attributes of a team player who is hands-on, with a can-do attitude to support the team, think outside the box and can hit the ground running!
