The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time HR Manager to join our team based in Brisbane.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the HR Manager will be responsible for strategically managing Human Resources within an organisation, ensuring alignment with its goals and objectives while fostering a positive work culture focused on our “Just Cause.”
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with Australian employment laws.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws; handle grievances and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and manage performance management systems to enhance employee productivity and engagement.
- Implement learning and development programs that are compliant with Australian Qualifications Framework standards.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs in accordance with Australian wage laws.
- Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a respectful and inclusive workplace.
- Enhance employee engagement and retention through recognition programs and wellness initiatives.
- Maintain accurate HR records using Employment Hero, ensuring compliance with Australian Privacy Principles.
The ideal candidate will possess
- Tertiary qualifications in business or HR are essential
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar role within the HR department.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian labour law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations diplomatically.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong ethical framework.
- The ability to stay informed on the latest HR trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Must be computer literate. Experience with Employment Hero is advantageous.
- Fruit & Veg industry and product knowledge advantageous.
- Current Drivers Licence.
