TRN Group has been operating since 1966 and has a workforce in excess of 350 people in the civil engineering and haulage industry. TRN Group are involved in all aspects of residential, industrial and infrastructure developments for high profile private and public sector clients.
We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources manager who value the environment they work in and is passionate about people and driving organisational success through effective HR strategies. If so, we want you to be part of our dynamic team!
The position is a full time role based in Oran Park and does require on-site visits to various construction sites around Sydney metropolitan area.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans
- Administer employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with Fair Work Australia and be integral in negotiating EBA’s.
- Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies
- Maintain HR records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to ensure the organisation remains competitive in the market
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management roles
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations
- Must have strong industrial relations skills and understanding of Fair Work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Current NSW drivers license
- WHS General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
- Previous civil construction experience desirable
