The Human Resources Project Officer contributes to the continuous improvement of operational human resource functions. They work closely with managers and others on the delivery of services and projects. They are client focussed and work with managers to ensure that policies, procedures and initiatives are implemented well and correctly.
The Human Resources Project Officer will have an opportunity to learn and participate in all aspects of human resource activities broadening their skills and abilities.
The key duties of the position include
- Assisting in the development and implementation of human resource projects related to the Mint's workforce plan.
- Contributing to the development, interpretation, consultation and application of human resource related policies, procedures and guidance material.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of operational human resource functions and services.
- Managing small human resource projects.
- Providing specialist information to managers and employees on a broad range of operational human resource matters.
- Preparing reports, analysing the data and providing it in an appropriate, user friendly manner including data from the Australian Public Service Census.
- Delivering training and coordinating the delivery of outsourced learning and development activities.
- Procuring human resource-related support services from external suppliers in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the Mint's procurement policies and procedures.
- Supporting employee engagement activities.
