DUTIES / RESPONSIBILTIES
The Senior Business Analyst reports to assigned Project Manager/s as a part of a project or program delivery team. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, refining, documenting and socializing requirements for identified required capabilities in line with the Digital Solutions Division Delivery Frameworks and processes.
Working with the Project Manager, define the business analysis approach and requirements management processes that are most appropriate for the assigned projects/programs.
Undertake analysis and modelling of current and future state clinical and business processes and data flows, driven through engagement with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
Preparation of requirement models and detailed business requirement specifications
Manage requirements traceability through to use cases and test planning activities in conjunction with the nominated Test Lead.
Provide assistance with user acceptance testing and user documentation against the delivered capabilities.
Building and nurturing internal and external relationships with key stakeholders.
Undertaking other duties appropriate to this level of classification that contribute to the Directorate, such as working on other health initiatives when opportunities arise or priorities mandate.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Desirable
A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst.
Tertiary education at undergraduate or graduate level with a focus on informatics, business intelligence, system and business analysis, project management and human interaction design is highly regarded.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
This role requires you to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance, which will be sponsored by the ACT Health Directorate. In order to be eligible for NV1 Security Clearance, you must be an Australian citizen. If you are not successful in obtaining a security clearance, your employment in the role will not commence. If already commenced, your employment will be terminated.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Proven experience in business process and requirements analysis in a large and complex/diverse service industry organisation. This includes strong knowledge and practical experience in working in the IT or Enterprise Service Management domain.
Proven engagement, collaboration and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to build, maintain and use relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Proven strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and presentation and facilitation skills, including demonstrated experience presenting to a wide range of groups with varying levels of technical expertise.
Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to contribute to multiple projects, prioritise competing demands and achieve quality results within tight deadlines.
