About the Opportunity

We are looking for an up-and-coming ICT Business Analyst to join the team at Flippa, reporting directly to our Head of Support & Experience based at our office in Cremorne. This is an exciting role where you will be responsible for generating data requests from across multiple departments and will run our data lake product called Metabase.

This is an exciting role in our team offering you the chance to work with users to formulate system requirements, develop new and existing system plans and documentation to meet users’ business needs.

As the ICT Business Analyst at Flippa, you’ll get to -  

• You will work with users to formulate and document business requirements.
• In your role you will join the sprint process and work closely with other key stakeholders across the business to respond to data requests on a range of projects.
• Identify, investigate and analyse business processes, procedures and work practices.
• Identify and evaluate inefficiencies and recommend optimal business practices, system functionality and behaviour.
• Use project management methodologies, principles and techniques to develop project plans and to costs, resource and manage projects.
• Take responsibility for deploying functional solutions, such as creating, adopting and implementing system test plans, which ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system.
• Developing functional specifications for use by system developers
• Using data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specification for the design and development of system software.
• Act as a central reference and information source, providing guidance and assistance in the system project decision making process.
• You will run the data lake produced called Metabase
• The role encourages active contribution of ideas to enhance performance, stability, and scalability, as well as influence the direction of our business decisions.
• Consult with users to design improvements to the functionality of websites, apps and systems.

What you bring to the table - 

• You will be degree qualified with a relevant tertiary qualification in Information Systems/Business Analytics or equivalent
• You will have at least 2+ years experience in a Business Analyst position.
• Demonstrated experience working under tight timeframes and balancing competing priorities.
• High level attention to detail
