Salary Range: Grade 19 $98,766.68 - $113,718.91 per annum, (dependent upon experience) plus 11% Superannuation

Council Overview

Strathfield Council (Council) is a medium sized Council located in Sydney’s Inner West. The area of the Council comprises approximately 14 square kilometres and has an estimated population of 46,000 residents, which is growing at 2.5-3% annually. Based on NSW Government projections, the population will increase to over 80,000 by 2036.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a enthusiastic and skilled ICT Business Systems Analyst, this role offers a dynamic and fulfilling experience, with the opportunity to administer, optimise and support Council ERP systems, this role involves troubleshooting and resolving any ERP related hardware and software user problems

Reporting directly to the Manager Digital, Information and Customer, the successful candidate will be required to model current and future business processes, identifying opportunities for process improvements across all areas of Council.

The position requires the ability to work autonomously across all departments, providing ideas and solutions for ERP related applications and ERP optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimising ERP systems and business applications used in the business using an analytical approach.
• Gather, validate, and document business requirements.
• Work autonomously with all departments; providing ideas and solutions for ERP related applications and ERP optimisation.
• Use advanced judgement and problem-solving skills to propose solutions to new, complex, and wide-ranging problems.
• Assist with the development of relevant IT strategies revolving around Business Systems and infrastructure.
• Model current and future business processes, identifying opportunities for process improvements across all areas of Council.
• Drive quality ERP change through analysis, planning, creation, upgrading and execution of User Acceptance Test cases.
• Supporting and coordinating the implementation of ERP related Projects within the Business
• Provide technical one on one or group training to users on Council Business Systems
• Responsible for data management, including uploads from legacy system to new system and validating data.
• Assist with the management of vendor contracts and supplier relationships.
• Using data extraction tools, data dashboard and data uploading tools to enhance business reporting.

Required Skills and Experience

• Relevant Bachelors qualifications in Information Technology, Business Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• Hold a current NSW Drivers licence.
• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst or ERP Administrator covering aspects such as change control, configuration and upgrading, scripting, monitoring, and performance analysis.
• Local Government experience (Desirable)
• Experience with Authority, CM10 and Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
• Experience with SQL, SSRS, Crystal Reports and Power BI report writing tools.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually with strong time management skills.
• Demonstrate well-developed written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate well-developed problem solving and troubleshooting abilities and display flexibility and drive to projects and tasks.
