We’re seeking an experienced and energetic Medical Receptionist to support our Practice Manager. Our clinic is growing and we’re looking for someone to support and compliment our dynamic team. You will be responsible for front desk operations whilst on duty, reporting to the clinic's Practice Manager and assisting with the marketing and administration of the clinic.
Medical Receptionists play a key role in the successful delivery of care to our patients at Elm Rd Family Clinics. Our Medical Receptionists ensure all patients receive excellent service in a professional and caring environment. They are aware that confidentiality is of utmost importance. The Medical Receptionists work collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, other Medical Receptionists and Management.
We’re looking for someone with a lot of energy and passion! Ideally you would have a track record in a practice role within the health industry. You will be an effective team asset, demonstrating a proactive attitude to all duties and responsibilities as outlined below.
- Ability to communicate effectively with doctors, staff and patients
- Ability to prioritise and organise workflow effectively
- Ability to problem solve within parameters of job description
- Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Excellent telephone manner
- Intermediate computer skills
- Excellent knowledge of Best Practice medical software a MUST
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous experience in a private billing general practice ideal
