We are expanding our National Operations team! Kerry Logistics currently have a vacancy for an experienced Import Operator at our Caringbah office.
You will be reporting directly to the National Operations Manager Australia and tasked with supporting all branches operational processes. The role will focus on supporting the centralisation of Sea & Air Freight Import Operations with ongoing development and enhancement of processes to support all products.
This role encompasses the execution of new business strategy by supporting the Operations Manager in delivering process improvement and whilst maintaining day to day freight forwarding import operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop centralised import operations functions
- Ensure alignment with implementation of Customer Service activities at branch level
- Drive operational excellence and help build a winning culture
- Support National Operations Manager with day to day operations as well ongoing strategic projects
- Responsible for achieving Key Performance Indicators as set by management
- Deal with operational issues that arise competently, with a customer service orientation and in a timely manner
- Proactively evaluate and implement SOP’s for all clients
- Support continuous improvement processes and procedures to ensure operations quality, productivity and efficiency
- Proactive interaction with overseas offices, agents and other business units to develop mutual business
- Participate in the development of freight forwarding and associated customer requirements
- Ensure alignment with the standards, strategies and instructions from global head office
- Strictly adhere to Australian Customs & AQIS rules and regulations
Essential Requirements:
- Proven industry operations knowledge and experience
- CargowiseOne – Freight Forwarding Software
- ICS - Integrated Cargo System
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail, methodical and ability in follow through on tasks
- Flexible and adaptable attitude
- Love collaborating in a team environment
