To support our current client needs, we are currently recruiting for female Community Support Workers. CatholicCare considers that being a woman is a genuine occupational requirement for this position under Section 31 (b,c,e) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
About the role
As a Community Support Worker, you will provide care and support to seniors with their daily living and changing needs to promote their independence and community engagement. We are looking for people with a caring and friendly nature to provide personal care and domestic support services to elderly clients in their homes.
As a Community Support Worker your duties include the following:
Providing personal care to clients
Assistance with household chores
Assisting with meal preparation
Assisting with Medication
Accompanying clients to the shops and appointments
Providing social support and community engagement
Our key requirements
As the ideal candidate you will need the following
Hold an Individual Support, Community Service or Aged Care Qualifications
COVID Vaccination (minimum 2 doses) *requirement*
A driver’s licence and registered car *requirement*
Current First Aid Certificate *willing to obtain*
Current CPR Certificate *willing to obtain*
Good English Communication Skills *requirement*
Work independently *requirement*
Navigate a Smart Phone *requirement*
Arabic Speaking
