Frank Busch Inspection (FBI) is a family-owned business that specialises in the In-Service Inspection of Boiler and Pressure Vessels, ensuring Australian businesses are in line with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and standards. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an In-Service Inspector to join their tight-knit team!
The Opportunity
If you have an eye for detail, a passion for manufacturing and safety, and would like to continue your In-Service Inspector career or take your experience as qualified Boiler Maker, Fitter Machinist, Welding Supervisor, or Welding Inspector in a new direction, this is the role for you! Working across Melbourne, and with a variety of clients this is an exciting opportunity to cement your in-service inspection career!
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect pressure equipment against the relevant Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Standards and complete a comprehensive inspection report
- Provide assistance with Plant Design Registration and Work Cover as required
- Ensure all activities comply with the relevant Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Standards and FBI’s internal policies and procedures
- Promote a strong culture of customer focus
- Engage in open, honest, and timely communication
- Promote a strong culture of customer focus
- Practice and promote two-way communication within the In-Service Inspection team
- Identify, develop, and implement improvement opportunities.

Skills and Experience
- Relevant qualifications or proven experience as a;
- In-Service Inspector
- Boiler Maker/ Fitter Machinist
- Welding Inspectors
- Welding Supervisors
- Australian Institute for the Certification of Inspection Personnel (AICIP) qualification will be highly regarded
- Prior report writing experience
- Driver’s license, current white/red card and confined space certificate
- Current police check and working with children check, or willingness to obtain them
- Ability to work autonomously and with the team
- Proficiency in Microsoft word, and excel with a good level of computer literacy
- Can do, positive attitude
