Inbound Sales Executive - Freight Forwarding

Your Role: Your role is to lead all the internal sales processes - managing inbound enquiries, speaking with clients, building and creating quotes and working out effective logistics solutions for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role with demonstrated track record of success 
  • Freight forwarding or logistics management experience is preferred although not essential if you’ve got a background in sales.
  • Strong IT skills with a high level of competence and experience in Excel, Word, and CRM systems 
  • High attention to detail and process-focused 
  • Clear, professional, and articulate communication 
  • Strong relationship management and teamwork skills  
  • Effective negotiation & problem resolution skills 
  • Strong commercial acumen 
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.

Your Role’s Key Metrics:

  1. Sales Conversion (60% of Role): 

To build and nurture relationships with leads, prospects and other potential clients - engage with current leads on a daily basis, ensuring consistent communication and gathering positive feedback from interactions.

Sales Conversion - Achieve a monthly sales conversion rates by leveraging a strong sales background to meet monthly targets and driving revenue growth

Leads Profiling -Identify and assess market opportunities for Willship, determining the characteristics of individuals potentially interested in the company's offerings. You will also conduct thorough market research at least quarterly to stay informed of industry trends and opportunities.

Financial Budget - Collaborate with the Head of Sales and Marketing to develop annual strategy and conversion figures, revising them quarterly to align with business goals. You will also drive business growth by attaining monthly gross profit targets through securing new business for the brand.

Conversion Reporting - Compile and share conversion reports with the Head of Sales and Marketing, providing insights and valuable KPIs to inform decision-making processes. In light of this, you are also responsible for submitting sales funnel reports monthly, offering relevant insights derived from data analysis.

New Business Development - Conduct quarterly market research, to identify new business opportunities to attain leads and stay ahead of industry trends.

2. Enquiry Management (30% of Role):

- Responsible for managing and organizing all incoming enquiries, assessing leads, and ensuring timely and assertive responses.

- Categorize leads based on their potential interest in Willship's services (hot, warm, and cold), maintaining a comprehensive database of prospects and contacts for effective follow-up.

- Maintain communication with prospects, ensuring responses to requests and inquiries within 24 hours or one business day. 

- Delegate leads to appropriate partners promptly upon identifying opportunities.

2. CRM Management (10% of Role):

- Ensure the smooth functioning of CRM processes, consistently updating and maintaining system records.

- Actively contribute to the improvement of sales and lead generation processes, providing quarterly reports to the Head of Sales and Marketing with a minimum of three recommendations for enhancement.
