This position works within the Inclusive Communities Department, which is comprised of four teams: Health and Social Policy, Community Diversity and Inclusion, Community Capacity and Partnerships and Community Hubs. The Department is a high performing, dynamic, strategic and outcomes focussed team. We strive to deliver first class services, programs and events for the Kingston community. We work collaboratively to bring on the ground knowledge together with demographic and social data to ensure we know what is happening in our community. We develop innovative responses to identified needs, while continuing to build on the strengths of our diverse community.
The role
We are seeking a casual Project Officer to join the Inclusive Communities Department. Your role is to support the research, development and implementation of various projects, events and activities that promote community inclusion within the Kingston community.
The successful candidate will engage in rewarding work that will involve supporting projects and department activities to build partnerships with key community groups, stakeholders and members of the community and provide advice and information.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Diploma or Certificate in business management, office administration, community development or similar, or significant demonstrable “on the job” experience in a similar role.
- Solid experience in office administration / project delivery within a busy environment.
- Ability to demonstrate the City of Kingston’s values of Future Orientated, Accountable, Dynamic, Expert, Community and Celebration.
