AddressExercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) is the peak professional organisation for exercise and sports science practitioners, representing 11,000+ members nationwide.
ESSA are committed to supporting members in their mission to improve the health and performance of Australians through exercise and sports science.
They provide industry leadership through advocacy, research, education and regulation, actively promoting the work of the members they serve.
In this full time, permanent role, a typical day would include:- Leading the planning, delivery and evaluation of ESSA’s Individual Accreditation Program in collaboration with the Regulations Manager.
- Supporting the development, review and implementation of quality accreditation requirements for the Individual Accreditation Program.
- Team leader for Individual Accreditation team consisting of Applications Officer, Individual Accreditation Advisors and Assessors.
- Providing support to projects as defined by the Regulations Manager relating to broader accreditation.
- Key accountabilities of the role are summarised as Individual Accreditation Program Management, Application Assessment, Stakeholder Engagement, and Leading the Individual Accreditation Team
- Ability to think and act strategically
- Demonstrates ability to analyse data and research and prepare reports, briefing papers and other complex documentation
- Proven ability in the implementation and control of projects
- Knowledge and understanding of or accreditation processes, higher education accreditation systems or regulatory compliance
- Ability to prioritise, multi-task, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team, and autonomously as required
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and consult with key stakeholders
