We are looking for a Industrial Blaster / Painter!
Responsibilities
- Painting heavy equipment for the mining and transport industry where the standards are high and the finish needs to be fantastic
- Perform routine maintenance on painting equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Conduct thorough inspections of painted surfaces, addressing any defects or issues to meet stringent quality standards.
- Prepare safe work areas using ladders, movable and immovable staging to ensure suitable access to products during coating.
- Handle painted items without damage to surfaces.
- Prepare work areas for surface treatment activities with consideration given to safe work requirements and adjacent work areas/plant/equipment to prevent overspray and paint splatter.
- Carry out quality testing to ensure compliance with relevant procedures and standards and produce required records.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Industrial Painter, preferably in the mining and transportation industry.
- Familiarity with various painting techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Knowledge of industrial coatings and methods
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Understanding of safety procedures and protocols in an industrial setting.
- You MUST have a reliable way to and from work daily.
