Job Overview: As an Industrial Engineer at APC Storage Technology Pty Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and optimizing our manufacturing processes and operations. Leveraging your expertise in engineering principles and techniques, you will drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality while minimizing waste and costs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Analysis and Optimization:
- Analyze existing processes and systems to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall productivity.
- Utilize tools such as time-motion studies, process flow diagrams, and value stream mapping to identify optimization opportunities.
2. Quality Management:
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop and implement quality control measures and standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address quality issues, defects, and deviations from specifications.
- Design and implement quality assurance protocols to ensure consistency and reliability in production processes.
3.Resource Planning and Allocation:
- Evaluate resource utilization, including manpower, materials, equipment, and space, to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Develop production schedules, capacity plans, and resource allocation strategies to meet production targets and customer demands.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
4. Workplace Design and Ergonomics:
- Design efficient and ergonomic workstations, layouts, and facilities to enhance worker safety, comfort, and productivity.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards and risk factors.
- Implement strategies to promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being.
5.Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to drive innovation and efficiency gains.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams to brainstorm, prototype, and implement new technologies, processes, and solutions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress and quantify the impact of improvement initiatives.
6. Company Philosophy and Teamwork:
- Promote the company philosophy of trustworthiness and integrity.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the team, comply with the company’s authorization schedule, and comply with any other reasonable request from management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in process optimization, quality management, and resource planning.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Certification in workplace safety.
- Familiarity with ISO Certifications 9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2015.
