St George State High School has a temporary opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Industry Liaison Officer. This position is offered for 12 months, unless otherwise determined, commencing on 15 January 2024. The successful candidate will foster community partnerships through administrative support to the Agriculture, Water & Environment (AWE) Career Immersion Program, School Based Traineeships & Apprenticeships, and Vocational Education Pathways for students. An additional component of the role will be assisting the Senior Schooling team in monitoring and tracking of senior school students QCE eligibility.

Your Role:
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with developing and facilitating the Agriculture, Water, and Environment Career Immersion Program including the preparation, collection, and storage of records and data.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with employers, industry representatives, training providers, and apprenticeship support agencies.
- Form connections and develop partnerships between school and employers that will assist students to transition to employment and make effective career choices.
- Promoting SAT and VET opportunities from industry to the school community.
- Work directly with schools, government, industry, business, and community groups to form productive partnerships and develop networks to position School based Apprenticeships as a career pathway choice for students in the region.
- Developing and managing the work experience program, including monitoring students in the workplace, arranging visits where requires and managing the preparation, collection, and storage of records and data as required by policy.
- Access, track and connect the progress data of students in School Based Traineeships and Apprenticeships (SBTA) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) pathways.
- Work in collaboration with the Senior Schooling team to monitor and track students' achievements and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships within and beyond the school community.
- Other suitable duties, consistent with the suties and responsibilities of the postion as directed by Business Manager.
