In pursuit of our mission, Experience Gold Coast is seeking a passionate Industry Partnerships Manager to lead us in optimising relationships with our members and industry partners for mutual value and effectiveness. We are dedicated to the advancement of the tourism industry by providing support to our member operators and having a strong focus on the continuous improvement and advancement of industry. This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining and strengthening our relationships with Tourism and Events Queensland and other industry bodies to identify and leverage opportunities to create awareness of the Gold Coast.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with tourism members and industry stakeholders, delivering value opportunities.
- Implement an annual events calendar which creates effective engagement with partners including delivering relevant and quality training events, and encourage industry cross-collaboration.
- Provide a high-level of customer services for our membership base and broader industry partners.
- Develop and champion an appealing membership value proposition, ensuring regular review.
- Implement effective annual sales call schedules and communication plans for member engagement.
- Act as a liaison between partners and our marketing and operational teams, facilitating collaboration.
- Advocate for members' perspectives in strategic and operational discussions.
- Lead, support, and mentor a small team cultivating a high-performance culture.
- Be the key liaison between Experience Gold Coast and Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) ensuring effective knowledge sharing and insights between the two.
- Advocate for our region on a state level and identify opportunities to collaborate with TEQ to drive the local visitor economy.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in partnership management or membership services within the tourism industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building and maintaining relationships.
- Strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with a focus on delivering value and achieving organisational goals.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and event management software.
- Passion for the Gold Coast and a commitment to promoting its unique offerings.
