About the role
The Information Officer is responsible for supporting the maintenance of timely and accurate clinical information systems (currently Community Based Information System - CBIS). Specifically, they provide system training; provide comprehensive help desk support to all staff; help coordinate data entry at a local level; assist in the timely update of the database; and assist in information systems design and management. They may also undertake small quality assurance projects under the supervision of the Manager of the Information Management and Performance Monitoring Unit (IMPMU).
The role is shared between multiple staff and therefore requires strong communication and negotiation skills, with a flexible and collaborative approach.

Essential Requirements
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
