About the Department for Correctional Services
The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the public and reducing re-offending. Duties
The Information Asset Disposal Officer is responsible for providing and executing the Information Management Disposal Program across the Department for Correctional Services (DCS). The key purpose of this position is overseeing disposal of Information Assets and assisting with training of DCS staff in Formation Management procedures and practices.The Information Asset Officer will contribute to projects that promote continuous improvement in information management process and procedures.
Special Conditions
- Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in accordance with other provision of the Act and other applicable Industrial entitlements;
- The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check;
- A current South Australian Driver's Licence is essential;
- A flexible approach to working hours is required;
- Some interstate and instrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences;
- Flexi time provisions apply between 8.00am and 6.00pm but starting and finishing times will be dependent on the business requirements of the Information Management Services Unit as agreed by the Team Leader - Information Services or Delegate.
