Role Description
Typical responsibilities of a level one IT support technician:
Answering phone calls and emails plus the recording of details in a ticket system
Providing a basic level of technical assistance
Helping identify the technical issues
Troubleshooting minor IT issues
Referring tasks to higher levels of IT support
Collaborating with IT professionals to determine technical solutions
Assisting with technology support at higher levels
Completing administrative level support duties
Physical handling, installing and removing of computer, network and classrom technology components
Learning from the experience and knowledge of the IT Support Team members
