About the role
TAFE NSW has an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals with current experience in Information Technology (IT) to join our team as an Education Support Officer located at the TAFE NSW North Region, you must specialise in one of the following disciplines:
- Games and Animation
- Network and Cyber
- Web programming
We have multiple casual positions based at the following TAFE NSW campuses:
- Glendale
- Grafton
- Coffs Harbour
- Kingscliff
- Ourimbah
- Port Macquarie
- Taree
Working within the classroom the role of Education Support Officer is responsible for a range of activities, which supports learners and enhances the student learning experience and educative processes.
Reporting to the Head Teacher, you will provide support to a diverse range of students, ensuring that the student outcomes is at the forefront of your decision making.
Note: This role does not teach or prepare lessons or resources and does not deliver training nor undertake assessment.
About You
You will be a part of a dynamic team, helping students to understand their learning materials and concepts whilst creating an innovative and exciting educational environment.
You are a customer-orientated, outcome-driven team member who is passionate about education and ready to support TAFE NSW students.
To be successful in the role you will:
- Hold a Certificate IV or above in Information Technology (IT) or a related field and a commitment to maintain technical currency.
- Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team.
