About the role

As V/Line’s Infrastructure Quality Officer, you play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality compliance and assurance in the delivery of Annual Works Plan (AWP) work packages. ·      Expert Assessment: Thoroughly assess the quality and safety compliance of ongoing and completed works.

·      Collaboration: Engage process owners to identify and address deficiencies, emphasising root cause elimination.

·      External Audits: Participate in third party and external audits.

·      Supplier Management: Review supplied products/services and ensure compliance, along with engaging suppliers for any identified issues to drive a prompt and effective resolution.

·      Practical Support: Coordinate activities, maintain safety, quality and environmental standards, and support delivery processes.

·      A safety-first mindset and prioritising the well-being of all stakeholders, ensuring that every project aligns with safety, quality and compliance protocols.

·      Proficiency in understanding of the Rail Safety Act 2006 (VIC), ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

·      Sound familiarity with rail industry standards and operational procedures.

·      A valid current driver’s license.

·      Experience in supervising rail-related activities, including maintenance, renewals, contractor management, and compliance for medium to large-scale projects.

·      Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
