Infrastructure Technician

Bindaree Food Group (BFG) is a vertically integrated supply chain business delivering global meat solutions both domestically and internationally and has solidified its position as a prominent leader in the Australian meat industry.  

Reporting to the Group IT Infrastructure Manager (based in Sydney), and based at our Burleigh Heads production facility, you will play a pivotal role in our tech ecosystem by working to maintain BFG infrastructure and ensure a highly performing and resilient infrastructure platform exists. You will focus on automating infrastructure tasks whilst also participating and at times leading infrastructure and cyber security improvement projects. A typical day might include: 

• Ensuring our Production IT equipment and software runs smoothly
• Maintaining our servers, storage, and virtualisation systems 
• Making sure our network switching, routing, and firewall systems are maintained
• Overseeing telephony and video conferencing systems across our Group.
• Administering on premise and cloud based tools including Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Teams.
• Uncovering opportunities for infrastructure automation using PowerShell scripting, making life easier and tasks more efficient.
• Monitoring our infrastructure closely, responding to alerts swiftly and resolving any issues promptly.

Skills and Experience We're Looking For:

• You are strong in Powershell and hold MS Azure Fundamentals certification
• You have experience in a previous systems / network admin role
• You're comfortable building and deploying desktop standard operating systems
• You are experienced in cyber security
• While not a must-have, a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) would be a fantastic bonus
• You have an eye for detail, and can be counted on to work to deadlines autonomously.
• You have a current Australian drivers licence
