About the role:
As an Injury Management Advisor, you are responsible for facilitating, promoting, and coaching Injury Management best practice with a strong focus on supporting our injured team members in their recovery, stay at or return to work journey.
This role is a hybrid role where you be working from our support office, attending and working from our sites, some regional, as well as having the opportunity to work from home.
What's involved:
Provide early and ongoing Injury Management support to our injured team members and ensure we are meeting our workers compensation legislative requirements and uphold best practice Injury Management principles
Provide cross national support for workers compensation injury claims
Be the key point of contact to our insurer, our injured team members, their site leaders, and medical team to coordinate, monitor and support progressive return to work strategies and positive claim outcomes
Facilitating return to work meetings, medical case conferences and claims reviews to negotiate effective recovery and claims outcomes
Follow Injury Management policies and procedures in line with legislative requirements and the Injury Management self-insurance audit program
Who we’re looking for:
Our ideal candidate will have a background in an allied health or a medical related field. You will be passionate about all things safety and Injury Management and have a genuine care for injured team.
You’ll be a self-starter with a customer centric approach and the ability to influence and problem solve with a range of both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is not a requirement, however highly valued.
You'll need:
Tertiary qualifications in allied health with experience in Injury Management
Previous experience managing complex injuries within a very fast passed environment
Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation (desirable)
Knowledge and advanced understanding of self-insured workers compensation and Injury Management legislation in NSW/ACT (desirable)
Strong planning, organisation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain effective partnerships (specifically external - insurers/ regulators)
Proficient computer literacy across the Microsoft Suite
