We're looking for a Injury Management Advisor to join our brand-new Automated Distribution Centre! This is an incredible opportunity to be involved in the commissioning of our second automated distribution centre which will use world-class technology to modernise our Supply Chain. Epic in scale and design, our new facility represents the future of logistics.
Located in Kemps Creek NSW, our new facility will deliver outstanding service level fulfilment to our stores. Critical to the site's success, are our people who'll enable seamless operational delivery.
You will be working with a dynamic team to provide a physically and psychologically safe workplace for all employees. This role will ensure potential employees meet all Company health-related standards prior to their commencement, whilst also providing support for current employees following work and non-work related injuries.
This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide specialist Injury Management, rehabilitation, and operational support to drive return to work outcomes for non-work and work-related injuries
- Provide guidance & support in early intervention & prevention programs
- Design, develop and deliver site specific and national health and wellbeing initiatives
- Provide leadership, coaching and specialist advice to senior leaders to assist leading a culture of health, safety, and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including People & Culture, Training and Operations
- Develop and deliver health and wellbeing strategies and resources that support the needs of the business and are aligned to the Coles Safety, Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
- Support the recruitment, people & culture and operations teams with the coordination and delivery of assessments for pre-employment purposes
- Analyse injury data to identify trends and develop proactive and preventative mitigation strategies
- A minimum 3 years' experience in Injury Management, vocational/ workplace rehabilitation, or worker's compensation/self-insurance
- Subject matter expert and experience managing a complex worker's compensation portfolio (inclusive of physical and psychological injuries),
- Experience in integrating a person-centred care model, worker's compensation legislation and business KPI's
- Clear demonstration of design, implementation and integration of health and wellbeing initiatives, whilst considering commercially viable and practical workplace solutions and associated outcome measures
- Excellent understanding of injury mechanism, treatment requirements, rehabilitation, recovery and return to work timeframes
- Ability to influence a range of stakeholders and work in a dynamic environment with Team Members from diverse backgrounds
- Tertiary qualification in a health practitioner discipline (i.e. Bachelor of Science Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Nursing)
- Working knowledge of relevant Workers Compensation, Health, Safety & Injury Management legislation with the jurisdiction.
- Knowledge and experience in multiple jurisdictions highly regarded
- Strong internal and external stakeholder communication, engagement, relationship building and influential negotiating skills
- Demonstrated experience with delivery of dispute resolution with internal and external key stake holders
- Competency in gap analysis, trend analysis, internal audits, and development of strategic reviews and reporting
