About the Role
Guide and deliver Injury Management and Work Health and Safety (WHS) outcomes to support compliance with legislative and statutory requirements associated with providing a safe working environment.

Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as an Injury Management and Safety Advisoryou will:
- Manage work and non-work-related illness or injury cases with a strong focus on early invention.
- Provide proactive coaching and advice to the HR Business Partners and relevant people leaders to support return to work outcomes and employee safety and wellbeing generally
- Manage workers compensation claims and non-work-related illness or injury to ensure successful return and/or recovery at work.
- Support employee consultation on matters affecting health and safety, with a focus on injury prevention.
- Maintain appropriate records of injuries and illnesses occurring at the workplace in accordance with legislative requirements and provide relevant reports.
- Work in collaboration with the Property and Corporate Support team to implement emergency management procedures and consistently apply relevant legislation and policy
- Support the monitoring and review of the WHS Incidents.
Skills & Experience
- Return to Work Coordinator accreditation – required.
- Tertiary level qualification in an allied health profession or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through extensive practical experience in complex claims management.
- WHS general knowledge and skills – preferred but not essential.
- A range of experience in managing and coordinating the return to work of injured employees and the prevention of injuries.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, adaptive and agile, ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage competing priorities.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations, being clear and precise.
